“Road Trip” Shonandgraham’s photos around Cairns, Australia (road trips around cairns)

Entry from: Cairns, Australia Entry Title: “Road Trip” Entry: “We hired a car for two days to go exploring in and around the Cairns area. First we headed north towards Cape Tribulation. We stopped on the way at Mossman Gorge, where we had a 30min walk along the gorge up to a swing bridge and lookout. There was a longer walk (about 3km) that we could have done, but being short on time we opted against that. It’s a really pretty and scenic walk and worth a stop for. After Mossman Gorge we headed up to Daintree Village for a spot of lunch, before catching the ferry across the river, and heading to Cape Tribulation. We went to the Bat House where we met a bat called Basher (I think!) who had been shot and paralysed in the legs a couple of years ago, but with rehabilitation was managing to use his legs again. It’s amazing the work they do there, and at all these animal sanctuary places. To be honest, we were a bit disappointed with Cape Tribulation. It is beautiful, and when you are driving along with the ocean on one side and the rainforest on the other side, that’s pretty cool, but after all the hype surrounding it, we were expecting some wonderful place and it was just really quiet and boring. Maybe we’ve just seen too many National Parks! So a bit disappointed, we headed South and had plans to

Bats in Cary, NC

Three bats, leaving the bat-house in my back yard, in Cary, NC at 8:30pm, on May 30, 2011. I took the video with a somewhat older sony F-717 camera in “night vision” mode, using the built-in UV light.

Memphis Zoo – Bats

Longer clip of feeding time in the the bat house. I love these guys. We sat in there for over an hour, just watching them. Hard to see, but had to put it up because it was one of my favorite spots in the zoo.

Lets Play Earthbound (Blind) Part 1: My Outlet

Gah…this is a very gloomy beginning. Like I said a million times in the video this was something I just wanted to talk about whether you listen or not. We don’t get much progress and sometimes I forget that this is live commentary so I stop for a bit. This is a very personal part and like all my videos I hope you enjoyed it even though not much progress was made Later in this game parts will come a bit slower which is why I wasn’t afraid to start this one before ending Megaman X. I’m sure you guys don’t want to see all the battles for all the enemies I face so I’ll have to learn to edit out stuff and what not….which will probably take some time but it shouldn’t be too hard right? If you have any tips feel free to leave it in the comments or pm me, either way is fine. Anyway, I’m not saying all this because I want your pity or anything. It’s just a story that I felt needed to be said…my dogs were (and still are) a very very important part of my life…and I’m sad to see them all go.

Bats at MagFest

There is a giant bat house at MagFest and every evening the bats come out.
